Connector for WinFax PRO

The Connector for WinFax PRO allows you to use the popular WinFax client to both send and receive faxes from your NET SatisFAXtion server.

Preparing to use WinFax with NET SatisFAXtion

Install WinFax using either a modem or ISDN as the modem device. This allows you to select to not configure a device now and continue to install WinFax properly.

NOTE: During the installation of WinFax PRO, you'll be shown a list of fax devices that MAY include NET SatisFAXtion. DO NOT SELECT THIS ENTRY as the installation from the WinFax Pro CD is outdated and does not function properly on Version 10.x.

If you are just installing WinFax PRO, select ISDN as the modem. The advantage of selecting an ISDN Device is that it allows you to skip the modem configuration:

With the ISDN Device selected, you can choose to skip the configuration. To do this, select No:

Finally, it is strongly suggested not to select running WinFax Pro upon system startup.  The WinFax Pro installation will need to reboot to complete. 

Installing the WinFax PRO Connector for NET SatisFAXtion

IMPORTANT: Make sure that WinFax PRO is NOT RUNNING! From the WinFax Program Manager, select File, then Exit All to close WinFax COMPLETELY.

To install the Connector, click the 'Download' button at the bottom of this page. The installation will attempt to locate the directory in which WinFax PRO was installed. Be patient as this may take a few minutes. Once found, the following dialog box will be displayed:

Configure the Connector

Launch the WinFax PRO Message Manager. You will immediately be presented a dialog box that will identify you to the NET SatisFAXtion server:

If you are an existing NET SatisFAXtion user, enter your User Name and Password. If you are a new user, enter the name and password you would like associated with your account and an entry will be created automatically.

If the Server field is blank, you can either browse to the NET SatisFAXtion server or contact your Fax Administrator to get the correct server path.  The WinFax PRO Client is now ready to send and receive faxes using the NET SatisFAXtion Fax Server

NOTE: Microsoft's .NET Framework and Windows Installer 2.0 are prerequisites to installing the Administration Program. If your Exchange Server has not been upgraded to include these components, you can install them using the following links:
